City Manager Role
Josh Selleck has served the City of Kilgore as City Manager since March 2015. Under Kilgore’s council-manager form of government, the City Manager serves as the chief operating officer of the City.
Responsibilities
Selleck is responsible for managing the City's affairs and day-to-day operations, as well as implementing policies set by the Mayor and City Council. He is responsible for the preparation and administration the City’s annual operating and capital budgets and providing general leadership and direction for city personnel.
Employment
Prior to Kilgore, Selleck was employed as an Assistant City Manager for Cedar Park, Texas. He also previously held positions as Director of Finance for Cedar Park, Director of Finance and Budget Manager for the City of Kerrville, Texas, and Budget Analyst for Lubbock, Texas.
Education
Selleck holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Selleck also holds a Masters of Public Administration and a Masters of Science in Financial Planning both from Texas Tech University.
Personal Life
Josh, his wife Elsa and son Alex enjoy the many amenities that Kilgore provides, such as outdoor recreation, shopping/restaurants, and fellowship with friends and neighbors.
