The process can be taken care of online through the city website. You will find permit applications and what information is required on the permit page. Submit application and documents to the permit office by email or bring them to city hall to drop them off. Once the permit office receives the application, they will check that all needed information has been provided and then will upload the information for the appropriate departments to review. The departments will approve, reject or ask for additional information to be provided. Please allow 10 days per submission for review. If approved the permit office will contact you for the permit fee and issue the permit with instructions on inspections needed. For most permits, the contractor will apply for the permit.

All contractors need to register with the City of Kilgore. You will find the Contractor’s application on the permit page of the city website. With your contractor application you will need to submit a copy of trade licenses and certificate of liability insurance(minimum of $300,000) is required in order to pull a permit.
A completed application, site plan, construction details and the written narrative of the proposed work are submitted to the Permit Office Manager. Upon completion of the submission, documents are uploaded to our program and review can begin.
