1. How do I report a pothole?

To report a pothole on a City maintained street, submit a work request online, from your smartphone with the MyKilgore App (Google Play or App Store), or call City Hall (903-984-5081). To report a pothole on a State maintained road please contact the Texas Department of Transportation Longview Maintenance Office at 903-234-2504 for roads in Gregg County or the Henderson Maintenance Office at 903-657-4521 for roads in Rusk County. State maintained highways include:

• FM 1249 - Dudley Road
• FM 2204 - Stone Road
• FM 349
• State Highway 135 (including Industrial Blvd)
• State Highway 31
• State Highway 42
• U.S. 259 business (including Henderson Blvd)

2. How do I report a problem with a traffic signal?

Every traffic signal in the City is owned and maintained by TXDOT, however problems with traffic signals should be reported immediately to the Street Department Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM by calling City Hall at 903-984-5081; after hours or on weekends please call the Police Department non-emergency number 903-983-1559.

3. Who do I contact if a street sign is down or missing?

If it is a high priority sign such as a stop sign, please report it immediately to City Hall Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM by calling 903-984-5081; after hours or on weekends please call the Police Department non-emergency number 903-983-1559. For most other signs you can "Report A Problem" utilizing the MyKilgore App (Google Play or App Store), submit a work request online, or call City Hall (903-984-5081).

4. Who is responsible for maintaing my driveway or the sidewalk along my property?

By City Ordinance, maintenance and construction of driveways and sidewalks are the responsibility of the property owner. 

If you need to repair or replace your driveway please check to see if you need to get a Driveway Approach Permit.

5. A street light on my street or in my neighborhood is not working properly; who do I call to get it fixed?

Street lights are maintained by one of three electric power companies that serve Kilgore depending on which part of the city you live in. You'll need some basic information when reporting the problem such as:

• What is the nearest street address or intersection where the light is located? 
• Many of the power poles have a number assigned to them, you'll need the number for the pole the light is on. 
• What is the issue with the light?

To report a clogged or non-functioning stormwater inlet on a City maintained street, submit a work request online, from your smartphone with the MyKilgore App (Google Play or App Store), or call City Hall (903-984-5081). If the inlet is on a state maintained road please contact the Texas Department of Transportation Longview Maintenance Office at 903-234-2504 for roads in Gregg County or the Henderson Maintenance Office at 903-657-4521 for roads in Rusk County.
