Normally at the end of a comprehensive planning process, the plan is reviewed and vetted through one or more public meetings with the goal of determining how well the plan represents the vision of the community for the future. This feedback is critical to ensuring the accuracy and credibility of the plan, but is nearly impossible to collect currently due to COVID -19 considerations. As a result, City staff got creative and developed a cutting edge survey instrument that uses videos and excerpts from the plan to allow all Kilgore residents the opportunity to participate and provide feedback from the comfort of their computer or smart phone. As an incentive for taking the 15 minute survey, the City’s Planning Department is sponsoring a drawing that will award three lucky respondents a $100 credit on their City of Kilgore Utility Bill. The survey will go live on Friday, September 25th and will be open for two weeks.
The survey link is available on the City’s Facebook page, or you can CLICK HERE. Questions about the survey should be directed to the City’s Planning Director, Carol Windham at Carol.Windham@CityofKilgore.com .
