City Attorney

The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and is required by the City Charter to be a qualified attorney-at-law who is licensed to practice in the State of Texas. The City Attorney serves as the chief legal adviser of the City Council, of all offices, department, and agencies, and of all officers and employees in matters relating to their official powers and duties. It shall be their duty to perform all services incident to his position as may be required by statute, by the City Charter or by ordinance adopted by the City Council.
