If you choose to drink and drive, within the City of Kilgore, you will go to jail. The Kilgore Police Department maintains a zero tolerance policy in regards to DWI enforcement. Drunk driving is not a choice it’s a crime. During the STEP wave KPD will also practice “No Refusal.” This means if you are stopped for drunk driving and refuse to provide a blood or breathe specimen, an immediate search warrant will be sought and a blood specimen obtained through the warrant.
