While all drivers have a responsibility of adjusting their driving habits during school hours, parents of school children have a responsibility as well in keeping kids safe. Please pay attention to your speed and watch for children at cross walks. Also be mindful of school buses loading and off loading children. Give yourself plenty of extra time if you are taking children to school and buckle everyone up. Traffic is always congested at the beginning of a new school year, so please plan accordingly. Cell phone use in a school zone is unsafe and illegal. Be patient with other drivers.
