 Chief Todd Hunter

 

A native of East Texas, Chief Hunter began his career in Law Enforcement with the Athens Police Department in February 1993 and joined the Addison Police Department in 1996. He has served as a Police Officer, Field Training Officer, Narcotics Investigator, Detective, Special Operations Detective, Training Officer and Supervisor. In 2005, he was appointed Chief of Police for the City of Jasper. In February 2011, he was hired as the Kilgore Police Chief. Chief Hunter holds an Associate’s Degree from Tyler Junior College and a Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University. He has a Master Peace Officer license and Instructors Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. He is a past graduate of the Institute of Law Enforcement Administration.  He is currently the Region 15 Director of the Texas Police Chiefs Association.

Captain Roman Roberson, Public Information Officer
 

Captain Roman Roberson serves as the Public Information Officer for Kilgore Police Department. Capt. Roman Roberson began his career with the Kilgore Police Department in June 1997.  He has over seventeen years experience in the criminal justice system. Captain Roberson currently holds a Masters Peace Officer license. Prior to his employment with the Kilgore Police Department, Captain Roberson served with the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marine Corps.  During his career at the Kilgore Police Department, Captain Roberson has served as a patrol officer, field-training officer, accident reconstructionist, detective, detective sergeant, detective lieutenant and as a member of the Kilgore Police Honor Guard.

Lieutenant Tony Stone

 

Lieutenant Tony Stone is responsible for the Patrol Divison, K-9 Unit, and Traffic Division. He ensures accountability regarding officer conduct, performance, scheduling and training. Lt. Stone has been employed with the Kilgore Police Department since June 1997. He has served as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant, detective, detective sergeant and currently patrol lieutenant. He haolds a certification as a Master Peace Officer and serves as an adjunct instructor for SFST and DWI enforcement at the East Texas Police Academy. In addition Lt. Stone has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Wayland Baptist University.

Support Lieutenant Johnathan Gage

 

Lieutenant Jonathan Gage began working for the Kilgore Police Department in March 5, 1998. He joined the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission in January 2003. In May of 2004, Gage returned to Kilgore Police Department as a Patrol Officer and was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in October 2005. Lt. Gage also served as a member of the Longview S.W.A.T. Team from 2007-2010.  He was  promoted to Support Lieutenant in 2012.
