CITY OF KILGORE

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

"Volunteers are seldom paid, not because they are worthless but because they are priceless." (Sherry Anderson)

The City of Kilgore's new Volunteer Program is intended for individuals and groups to play a vital role in our community. A volunteer may assist in daily office duties, document scanning and filing, computer/website work, outside work in the parks, or many other areas dependent upon your qualifications.

Volunteering can be rewarding. Volunteering just a few hours of your time each week can lead to several positive results:
  • You will meet new people
  • Have new experiences
  • Gain valuable information and skills
  • Gain a sense of satisfaction from helping others

The City of Kilgore is committed to fitting the right volunteer to the right position. We ask that prospective city volunteers fill out a volunteer information form and submit it to City Hall either in person at 815 N. Kilgore or online at www.cityofkilgore.com. Volunteers must be 16 years old or older. Those younger than 16 will be considered but must have their own adult supervision.

For additional information please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, 903 984-5081.
