- Where can I find the rules and regulations of the cemetery?

- What are the hours of the cemetery?
All 3 cemeteries open at 8:00 am and close at sundown.

- How do I locate a loved one?
Please contact Sonja Wheeler with the City of Kilgore Cemetery Department at (903) 988-4128 or sonja.wheeler@cityofkilgore.com for further assistance and detailed information in locating your loved one.

- How do I purchase a lot?
Please contact Sonja Wheeler with the City of Kilgore Cemetery Department at (903) 988-4128 or sonja.wheeler@cityofkilgore.com to pick out cemetery lots and availability.

- What is the cost of a lot and what does the cost cover?
Kilgore Memorial Gardens- $1575 for adult burial spaces and $75.00 for infant and cremation spaces;
Danville $1200 for adult burial spaces and $100.00 for infant and cremation spaces;
Kilgore City Cemetery- contingent upon seller's price (Please note these lots are for sale by owner and not handled by the City of Kilgore.)
The cost of the lot(s) only covers the right to bury someone in the space purchased and does not include the open/close of grave or the cost of the lining. Open/close and cost of lining is an itemized charge handled through the chosen funeral home.

- Is there an installment plan to pay for lots? 
There is no financing available for lots. All purchases of lots must be completed during the same day transaction.

- Do I own this property at the cemetery?
No. Purchase of the lot secures sepulture rights or a right to bury someone in the space purchased.

- Is there a liner requirement?
Yes. A metal or cement lining is required in all 3 cemeteries.

- Can I plant trees or do any minor landscaping in the cemetery? 
No. Planting trees, shrubs or any minor landscaping at the cemetery is  prohibited.

- What are monument size requirements?
The base of the monument must not exceed the length of cemetery lot; approximately 5 feet. 

- What do I do if a grave has sunken? 
Please contact the Cemetery Department at (903) 988-4128.

- Can I place a bench on the grave?
Please refer to the section on Benches in the City of Kilgore Cemetery Rules & Regulations.
